From Breakthrough Technology to Funded, Market-Ready Venture
Scale2global is a Warsaw-based advisory firm doing two things: building commercialization strategy for advanced technologies, and preparing EIC funding applications - from eligibility and positioning, through the complete dossier, to the jury interview.
Two Ways We Help Deep-Tech Ventures Scale
One builds the commercial evidence base. The other turns it into a funded application. Most clients need both, and they are usually the same body of work seen by two different audiences.
Technology Commercialization Strategy
End-to-end market validation, segmentation and go-to-market design for breakthrough technologies. We build the commercial evidence base that technical founders need to attract capital and partners.

Academic founders translating years of research into commercially viable products and services with defensible IP positions.
Technology Ventures
Early-stage startups with working prototypes or pilots that need structured commercialization roadmaps and funding strategy.
Corporate Innovation Teams
R&D divisions and corporate venturing units exploring external commercialization paths for non-core or spun-out technologies.
EU-Funded Consortia
Horizon Europe and national programme beneficiaries preparing for downstream commercialization and follow-on funding.
When Should You Contact Us?
These are the situations where our involvement typically generates the highest strategic return.
"We are raising funding for our early-stage deep-tech startup and are targeting >€1M in non-dilutive grants, but we don't know how to structure a competitive EIC application."
EIC Funding Gap"We have strong, defensible technology but lack a clear commercialization or go-to-market strategy that investors and corporate partners can evaluate."
GTM Uncertainty"We need independent market validation and competitive positioning analysis before our board will approve further R&D or commercial investment."
Validation Requirement"We are considering commercialization in a new geographic market and need to understand regulatory barriers, customer segments and partnership requirements."
Market Entry"We need to translate our technical differentiation into a commercial narrative that non-technical grant evaluators, investors and enterprise buyers can understand and value."
Narrative Gap"We have a pre-commitment letter to arrange and a jury interview ahead of us — and nobody on our team has ever sat in front of an EIC panel."

How a Technical Case Becomes a Scored Application
An EIC jury never sees your technology. It reads a dossier and scores it against three criteria, each on a binary yes/no, then interviews the team behind it. Our work is the chain that connects the one to the other - and every link in it is a document with an owner and a date.
What you already hold
- Patents, IP filings, freedom-to-operate opinion
- Prototype, TRL evidence and test data
- Pilots, LOIs and customer traction
- Financial history and projections
- Team CVs and ownership structure
What we build on top of it
- Market sizing, segmentation, competitor mapping
- Business model and multi-year financial model
- Innovation, IP-strategy and impact narrative
- Risk, implementation and Union-support argument
- Red-team review against the award criteria
The dossier that gets submitted
- Business plan, up to 50 pages
- Jury pitch deck, up to 15 pages
- Financial plan on the official EIC template
- Pre-commitment letter pack
- CVs, FTO, self-assessments, annexes
What the jury actually scores
- Excellence - yes / no
- Impact - yes / no
- Level of risk, implementation and need for Union support - yes / no
- Then the interview: 15-page deck, binary scoring, one panel
Excellence
"Is the innovation genuinely novel, is the technology feasible, and is the IP position defensible?"
Answered by the IP-strategy narrative built around your freedom-to-operate document, the TRL and test evidence, and the technical work plan. Where the evidence is thin, we say so before the jury does.
Impact
"Would this scale, and who benefits - the company, the market, the Union?"
Answered by market sizing and competitor mapping, the go-to-market model, and the multi-year financial plan reconciled line by line against the business plan. Inconsistency between those two is the most common avoidable failure.
Level of risk, implementation and need for Union support
"Is the plan realistic, can this team run it, and would it stall without EIC money?"
Answered by the implementation plan and risk register, the key-personnel CVs, the ownership and financial structure, and the pre-commitment letter that proves private capital is behind you but not sufficient alone.
The same chain runs in a commercialization project. What changes is who scores it at the end - an EIC jury, an investment committee, or your own board - and therefore which evidence has to be strongest.

Bartosz Boniecki
Founder of Scale2global. Fourteen years spent on the same problem from four different seats - building ventures out of research, screening deals for a venture fund, placing angel capital, and raising it as a founder.
Alongside Scale2global he co-founds and builds product. At Otono.me he works on AI enablement for SMEs - cost and resilience frameworks, ROI models, and five deployed AI agents. That matters here for one practical reason: when a client’s application rests on AI claims, those claims get assessed rather than repeated.
EIC Funding FAQ
Answers to the questions we are asked most often about EIC applications and how we work on them.
The EIC Accelerator targets high-risk, high-impact deep-tech innovations with significant scale-up potential. Ideal candidates have: (1) a working prototype or proven concept, (2) a clear disruptive innovation with defendable IP, (3) a credible path to €100M+ revenue within 5–8 years, and (4) a strong, committed team. We offer a free initial fit assessment to evaluate your specific situation against these criteria.
The complete dossier: a business plan of up to 50 pages, the pitch deck of up to 15 pages used at the jury interview, the financial plan on the official EIC template, structured CVs of key personnel, and the annexes. We integrate the freedom-to-operate document from your patent attorney and the third-country control self-assessment from your counsel, then run a full compliance and consistency review against the admissibility conditions and award criteria. We do not provide legal advice, financial audit or post-award grant administration. You retain full ownership and final approval.
For EIC funding, we recommend engaging 3–4 months before the target cut-off date. That leaves time for eligibility screening, positioning, evidence gathering, drafting and red-team review - and, critically, time to arrange the pre-commitment letter, which is usually the longest pole in the tent. For commercialization strategy, engagement is valuable at any point from pre-seed through Series A.
We typically need: technical documentation (whitepapers, patents, prototypes), existing business plan or pitch materials, financial history and projections, team CVs, market research you have already conducted, and any prior funding or grant applications. We conduct a structured intake call to identify gaps and define an evidence collection plan.
A typical engagement spans 8–12 weeks from kick-off to submission-ready materials. Complex cases, or those requiring significant primary market research, may extend to 14 weeks. Interview preparation runs separately, over roughly two to three weeks after the shortlist is announced, and ends with a final rehearsal within five business days of the interview itself. We always align timelines with the official cut-off dates.
We draft all strategic and commercial sections of the application based on intensive interviews with your team and independent research. Technical sections are co-authored with your CTO or chief scientist to ensure accuracy. You review and approve every section before submission. We do not submit on your behalf — the application is always submitted by the company.
Yes, and it is a defined part of the scope rather than an add-on. You get a jury simulation brief covering the panel’s composition and its binary scoring, a question bank built from the award criteria, an interview narrative with speaking roles allocated across your team, three mock sessions of 60 to 90 minutes in jury format with written feedback after each, and a final rehearsal with a one-page briefing note per speaker.
No. We do not and cannot guarantee EIC funding. The EIC Accelerator is highly competitive with success rates typically below 5%. Our value lies in maximizing the quality, coherence and competitiveness of your application. We are transparent about your odds from the outset and will decline engagements where we believe the probability of success is unreasonably low.
